Dr. Irwin will obtain medical records from your veterinarian to review and determine if it is time to say goodbye to your pet. If you have decided, with your veterinarian, that it is time, an appointment can be booked. If you have not had a quality-of-life consultation with your veterinarian, Dr. Irwin can consult by phone if she has recent medical records to refer to. The fee for a telephone consultation is $105.
Once it is determined that euthanasia is the right choice for your beloved pet, a house call can be scheduled. At the house call appointment, Dr. Irwin will begin by administering a sedative to relax your pet. After that, she will place an intravenous catheter, then administer a painless injection and your pet will peacefully pass away.
